Elizabethan Government and Society
Eight lectures given by JOEL HURSTFIELD. Astor Professor of English History in the University of London, at the University of East Anglia
7: The Growth of Political Dissent

In his seventh lecture, Professor Hurstfield shows how in spite of her own qualities, and in spite of the cult of monarchy, the Queen was no longer able to restrain the growing murmurs of political dissent.
