To mark the Jubilee of the Medical Research Council Science Survey includes four programmes on research at the National Institute for Medical Research
3: Hormones tn Growth and Development by J. R. TATA , D.SC.
The body secretes highly actlvo substances (hormones) which regulate the maturation of tissues both before and after birth. How hormones perform this action still remains a mystery. Dr. Tata describes his research on this problem and discusses some of its biological and medical implications.
Dr. Tata is introduced by the Director of the Institute, DR. P. B. MEDAWAR, C.B.E., F.R.S
