Kenneth Adam
We all know the man who is popular at the golf club, a good fellow at the office, considerate to those under him, proud of his wife, kind to his children-the type of man you would imagine would never take risks. Yet go for a drive with him and you may find to your surprise and concern that he always insists on taking right-handed corners on the right of the road. ' Saves time, nothing there ', he argues-and one day, of course, there is something there. Two cars meet in a head-on crash.
In a new series of five-minute talks Kenneth Adam is to give six separate imaginary biographies similar to the above. He will show how lives are lost through taking risks and using the roads without care or consideration or common sense, not alone by motorists, but by cyclists and pedestrians as well.
