National Tournament
A commentary on the actual play by an expert from the Savoy Hotel
This is the second day of the two days' final in a £1,500 national tournament. Out of an entry of ten thousand pairs .from all over Britain, 88 pairs were left in yesterday. It is hoped to let listeners hear the calling and play of two or three ' boards ', ', and to let them know the ' hands '. The final will be nearly over, and it should be possible to forecast the probable winning pair except in the case of a very close finish.
