M.P., introducing the series on ' Rural Britain'
What is happening to the land? How is
-agriculture dealing with the latest phase of its perennial crisis? How is the problem of rural education being solved? In what subtle ways is the face of the countryside and the tempo of country life changing ? These are the questions that Professor Scott Watson will set out on his modern Cobbett's ride to solve and come to the microphone this autumn to discuss. The series proper begins next week. It is introduced tonight by the Minister of Agriculture, whose use of broadcasting for expounding schemes of agricultural reorganisation has effected a minor revolution in the technique of government.
