Mr. JAMES AGATE
Autumn activity in the theatre provides the most pungent of living dramatic critics with plenty of targets. Listeners coming to London soon should make up their ' plays to see ' lists from Mr. Agate's ' nap ' selections. Londoners should take the hint, too, and remember they have the pick of current theatrical entertainment at their doorsteps. Good listening, even if you think the theatre no place for you.

'Milk Production in England today'
The production, distribution, marketing, buying and consumption of milk vitally affect the prosperity and health of the nation. Of late years, vast st rides have been made in the effort to bring high-grade milk rapidly to the consumer at a low price. The importance of such efforts is emphasized by the fact that of the 1,117 million gallons produced annually, 888 millions are consumed in the liquid state: on this basis it is estimated that the consumption per person in England and Wales is approximately 0.44 pints per day.

' That the Law is too complicated '
This is the first of four unfinished debates on legal questions, which form a controversial postscript to the recent informative talks on the law by Lord Macmillan and Mr. Fifoot. The subject of these debates concern, the impact of the law upon society, and in a sense are more social than legal. Cheaper and quicker justice is an urgent social necessity. British traditions of justice and its administration are the highest in the world, but the increasing complexity of legal procedure puts obstacles in the way of justice : simplification and reform are needed. Each speaker in this debate will talk for fifteen minutes : the proposer has no right of reply, but he will have seen his opponent's speech before making his own. No attempt to reconcile conflicting views with a pale compromise will be made; listeners will be left to finish the debate themselves, with the facts fresh in their minds.
