JOHN ANDERSON , B.Sc.
Dr. Anderson, Lecturer in Bee-keeping at the Aberdeen College of Agriculture, is perhaps the most widely-known bee-keeper in Britain. He looks after the interests of apiarists in the eleven most northernly counties, but has lectured on his subject throughout the whole of Britain and in Paris. As editor of ' The
Scottish Bee-Keeper ' and contributor to many other bee journals at home and abroad, he has become known to a still larger number of .people interested in bees and honey. He is a well-known figure at the National Honey Show which is held annually in the Crystal Palace, London. At many apiaries in North Scotland and at the College apiaries at Craibstone, Aberdeen, Dr. Anderson's theories are put to the test. From fewer than thirty stocks of bees Craibstone apiary produces annually over a ton of honey, and this average of seventy-five pounds per hive is frequently exceeded by bee-keepers who follow the same methods. Dr. Anderson's ambition is to see British honey on every breakfast and tea-table all the year round.
