Presented by VIOLET DAVIDSON in a reminiscence of the programmes performed during the war years in The Old Beach Pavilion, Aberdeen Violet Davidson 's concert party broadcast reminiscences of the old Beach Pavilion, Aberdeen, on April 25, and the programme created so much interest that it was decided to include another as soon as possible. Many soldiers who did their training or were stationed in Aberdeen during the war years have happy recollections of the concerts in the old Pavilion. The title of tonight's programme suggests that these shows illuminated what might have been rather dull evenings for the men.
