'During the absence of Douglas Burbidge caused by illness
Trevor was put on a charge for refusing to obey an N.C.O.'s order. He was admonished by the Company Commander, who at the same time advised him to change his attitude towards the Army. Bob, in a state of despair over the Angela-Jenny situation, asked Sir Bernard Remington-Wade to write to
Jenny telling her the whole truth. Grandfather Dale came down to London to show a heifer at the Royal Agricultural Show at Windsor, but did not win a prize for her. Bessie Monument came to help Mrs. Dale while Mrs.
Morgan was on holiday. Mrs. Mount-ford was furious to find that the value of her house had dropped because of the sale of Parkwood Lodge, and she was unable to sell it.
