Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Lesley Wilson
Last week Bill Francis, the Dales' solicitor, went with Bob to see Malcolm Reeves and persuaded him to settle the matter of Cooper's flat. Bob borrowed money from his father to pay his and Cooper's costs, and promised he would eventually repay. Dr. and Mrs. Dale advised Bob to accept Grandfather Dale 's invitation and go to the farm. Mrs. Mustoe offered to help Maggs buy Mrs. Morgan a frock for her birthday. The choice was perfectly hideous, and Mrs. Freeman offered to change it for him. On her birthday Mrs. Morgan was very depressed, and said Mr. Morgan and Maggs had forgotten. The Dales were puzzled, but it transpired that Mr. Morgan thought it a joke to pretend he had forgotten the birthday. Mrs. Morgan was very annoyed: but cheered up when she saw the dress, which was a great success.
