Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Joan Carr-Jones
Last week Mrs. Freeman was still housekeeping for Mr. Fulton but was beginning to find it a great strain. Mr. Fulton, driving her back to Parkwood Hill, got caught in a traffic jam; this irritated them and they quarrelled. Next day Mr. Fulton telephoned his apologies to Mrs. Freeman and mentioned a job as companion, which he thought might interest her. Jenny surprised everybody by announcing her engagement to Peter Kingston. Sally was sent to Nottingham by Elizabeth Russell to open a new branch. While she was away Maud French came to see Dr. Dale to say she had heard that the company in which Sally had invested her capital was going to crash. Dr. Dale told Maud he thought she had been misinformed and refused to contact Sally.
