From Community House, Glasgow. Conducted by the Rev. George F. MacLeod, M.C., D.D., Leader of the Iona Commundty

Today we approach the record of Pentecost, the birthday of the Church, when everyone felt at home. There was no more babble of tongues, but one language which everyone understood - the Galilean language. The Apostles were so completely entranced that folk thought they were drunk: as entranced as we would be if we could find a common basis of understanding for our world. Only in Christ will the world ever find it.
