From the Parish Church, Rogate, Sussex. Conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. Kenneth Mathews
The Rev. Kenneth Mathews, who will be conducting the People's Service throughout February, served for four years during the war as a naval chaplain in H.M.S. Norfolk. He has been Vicar of Rogate,
Sussex, since 1946. The village of Rogate, with its ancient parish church dating back to the eleventh century, lies in fine well-wooded country under the South Downs, near the Hampshire-Sussex border, and depends for its livelihood largely on agriculture and timber-cutting. People's Services were broadcast from Rogate during March 1948.
