From the Parish Church, Rogate, Sussex. Conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. Kenneth Mathews
In the Service last week Mr. Mathews spoke about the Choosing of the Twelve Apostles. Today we see why this was of such critical importance. Christ's work of healing and teaching was bringing them into conflict with the religious leaders, and the people, who at first had ' heard him gladly ' were beginning to be disappointed in him, because he did not look like being the sort of military and political leader they were hoping for. So Jesus faced a gathering storm of opposition; how he met and handled that danger is told in today's broadcast.
