Appeal on behalf of the British Wireless for the Blind Fund
(Registered in accordance with the National Assistance Act, 1948) by SIR MALCOLM SARGENT
Contributions (preferably by crossed postal order or cheque) will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Sir Malcolm Sargent. [address removed]
The British Wireless for the Blind Fund makes only one appeal each year-the Christmas Day broadcast. The first was made in 1929. Since then the Fund has provided a total of 152,000 sets and relay installations for blind people for many of whom the wireless is their only solace in a suddenly darkened world. A set costs £ 10, and every year more than 5,000 new sets are needed.
