The Blenheim tapestry shows the Duke of Marlborough on a white charger receiving the surrender of the French Marshal Tallard
On the 250th anniversary of the battle of Blenheim, David Green, Richard Dimbleby, Audrey Russell, and Henry Riddell describe some of the splendours of the Palace at Woodstock, Oxfordshire, which was bestowed on the first Duke of Marlborough by Queen Anne and a grateful nation as a reward for his great victory.
The description of the Palace is followed by a shortened version of Sir Winston Churchill's account of the battle in his biography of his ancestor. The reader is James McKechnie.
