by Frank Fraser Darling D.s c Ph.D.
'Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and. six, result misery,' said Mr. Micawber. Dr. Fraser Darling believes that we are squandering our natural resources in this way. Intense cultivation of the land and the disappearance of wild life and uncultivated scrub are, in his opinion, not only regrettable from the point of view of the nature lover but will be disastrous for future generations.
