Talk by James Norbury
It is uncertain when knitting was first introduced into England, though there is mention of two pairs of gaskins or garters in an Oxford inventory of 1320. It is also known that Princess Mary, sister of Henry VIII, possessed two pairs of fine knitted hose. The speaker traces the growth of hand knitting and frame knitting from these small beginnings to the present day.

4-' Skating Gala and Silver Test'
Production by Josephine Plummer
When Christmas was over the next exciting thing to happen was the Skating Gala. Uncle David had suggested to Aunt Claudia in Switzerland that Lalla might have Harriet to do lessons with her. Aunt Claudia had only said that it might be an idea, and she would think it over after the Gala. But Uncle David was sure it was a good idea, and he was determined to think of ways to get Aunt Claudia to agree. It might help, he thought, if she met Harriet's mother and father, so he sent them three tickets for the Gala.

A series of five illustrated talks by Antony Hopkins 3-In the Mind's Eye
Generally speaking, music seems to be either architectural or pictorial. Can the pictorial approach help us to understand the architectural? The illustrations are taken largely from Frank Martin 's Petite Symphonic Concertante for harp, harpsichord, piano, and two string orchestras.
