In the absence on holiday of the St. Paul's ohoir, the Cathedral services are be ng sung for a fortnight by a choir of boys and young men gathered together by the Royal School of Church Music from pans'h churches and publx schools. Some of the trebles singing in today's service were members of the Coronation Choir on June 2; t'he altos, tenors, and basses are older boys from public schools.

Recently a Departmental Committee presented to the Home Secretary its recommendations on rhe function and organisation of Discharged Pr:soners' Aid Societies. In this programme C. R. Hewitt outlines these recommendations and introduces a variety of informed opinion from both sides of rhe controversial issue of what is being done and what more could be done to help the discharged prisoner in overcoming the difficulties he faces on his return to society
