Following on the work of the German archaeologist, Schliemann, Evans revealed that there had existed in the Eastern Mediterranean a rich and splendid civilisation contemporary with that of Ancient Egypt. This programme retells the story of the discovery and of how the ancient Greek legends were proved to re&t on a basis of fact.
