by Sir Kenneth Grubb , C.M.G.
During April this year rhe pressure brought by rhe East German Government on the Evangelical Churches of the Russian Zone led to a fear that Germany was entering into a second Church struggle. Many of the leaders of the Church there are men who led the resistance to Nazism before and during rhe Second World War. They were ready again to resist any domination of the Church by the State. The struggle reached its climax early in June, and eventually ended with a complete victory for the Evangel cal Church.
Sir Kenneth Grubb tells the story of this struggle, with the help of documents including statements by prominent Church loaders.
