by Edward Allcard
Last July, a small sailing boat slipped quietly into Plymouth Harbour and rounded up alongside the quay. Handling the craft was Edward Allcard , desperately thin and suffering from jaundice. For him it was the first step ashore since Casablanca, left forty-two days previously, and was the end of a three-year adventure which included the double crossing of the Atlantic during a voyage of 14,000 miles.
