Talk by Monica Krippner
The Mozabite people, whose origins are almost entirely unknown, fled from persecution in the tenth century to the valley of M'Zab in the Sahara. There they built the five strange hill cities in which they now live and which Miss Krippner recently visited.

The programme describes the place and the people and in so doing attempts to explain the issues of the thorny problem of Trieste
Written by Matthew Halton
Edited and produced by W. Farquharson Small
The Free Territory of Trieste has dropped out of the news headlines during the past year, but it remains an important factor in European stability. For centuries Trieste and its immediate hinterland has been a prize of war to be seized in turn by Venice, Austria, France, and Austria again. It went to Italy after World War I, and since 1945 Trieste has been administered by Allied Military Government, pending final settlement. Agreement is not in sight but this important seaport has not been allowed to languish.
