The ' Worldwide Church ' will be illustrated in the interludes this term by true stories about Christians of different nations. Today's interlude is about Henri Perrin, a young French priest, who in 1943 went to Germany as an ordinary workman so that he could serve the thousands of French conscript-labourers who were being deported to work in the Nazi war factories. He was arrested and served a long term of imprisonment in a Leipzig gaol, where he exercised a remarkable influence over his fellow-prisoners.
