Today's interlude tells of the work of Mary Slessor of Calabar and of her influence upon the tribesmen of the district. The story helps to explain the saying of Christ: ' It shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak' (St. Matthew 10. v. 19).

A visit to the St. Bernard Monastery
Programme designed and produced by Derek McCulloch
Last September Uncle Mac visited French Switzerland where from Lausanne he toured many miles with a mobile recording car. So much material was collected that one of the most important items had to be put on one side until today. This was a visit from Sion, in Canton Vaud, to the St. Bernard Monastery right at the top of the famous St. Bernard Pass. Uncle Mac spent a day here with Canon Detry and other Canons of the Order of St. Bernard.
