' Tusker and the Star-Patch' : another story about the baby elephant, written by Mollie Chappell ; read by Johu Darran followed by ' Yankee Tommy Tucker '
Written and narrated by P. H. Burton
(Recordings made with the co-operation of the New York Office of the BBC)
The Tommy Tucker in this programme is an eight-year-old American boy who lives on a farm in the little village of Waits-field in the State of Vermont. P. H. Burton met him during a recent visit to America. From recordings made in August, you hear how Tommy spent a typical day of his holidays with his young brother, Gerry, and his friend from the city, Sandy Martin.
