' A Traveller's Guide
Through France'
Ralph de Rohan talks about this book, published in 1820 Ralph de Rohan recently consulted this book when he was planning a journey through France. He found that it gave information about travelling in a post-chaise, hints about where to change horses advice on matters of exchange and food, and some pleasing judgments on the character of the people. He talks about the book and the picture it gives of travelling in leisured, spacious days when a trip to the interior of France could scarcely be accomplished under a month or six weeks.

Six talks about the present-day growth of science
4-The Chemistry of Life by Philip D.sc Eggleton , , Reader in Physiology in the University of Edinburgh
Dr. Eggleton explains that while, roughly speaking. living cells are built up from protein, they only work if the protein is assisted by substances which have been variously called hormones, vitamins, and so on. He tries to show that there may be an underlying principle behind these apparently different things.
