Talk by Major Lewis Hastings
What sort of soldiers are they, the men of the Glider Pilot Regiment, in maroon berets with blue wings and a golden lion and crown above the left breast-pocket of their khaki battledress? They are soldiers and airmen in one, as much at home on the ground as in the air. Major Hastings, who has recently been, with the Glider Pilots, has recorded a description of some of the work they have done and are still doing. Photographs of Major Lewis Hastings and of glider pilots in action are published at the top of page five.
