Introduced by James Fisher.
The whole of a small rocky island a few miles from the centre of Finland's capital has been turned into a zoo. Cut off by ice in the winter, it is only open in the summer, when it is approached by ferry. As it is the most northerly zoo in Europe its chief purpose is to show the animals of Finland and of the northern hemisphere.
