The courtship display of birds is a familiar sight in the spring, but birds have a number of other ways of displaying. These include threat display when a strange member of the same species enters the territory, greeting display, and distraction display which may serve to draw an intruder away from the nest.

A series of wild-life programmes.
Introduced by Peter Scott.

Most people think of the Norfolk Broads as a place for sailing and for holidays. Walter Higham, who has been filming there for over twenty years, shows the wild life and rare birds that can be seen among the reeds and at the water's edge if anyone will stop and look for himself.
