A new play by Arthur Hailey.

Tonight's play is by Arthur Hailey, who wrote those two spellbinders Flight into Danger and Course for Collision. It is set in India in the present day, and provides something of a postscript to the recent series of Sunday-night plays The English Family Robinson. It shows a group of Canadian scientists working side by side with their Indian colleagues in building a new atomic energy plant which will, when in operation, provide the power for the pumps which bring water to a large area threatened by drought. But the scientists are having trouble in meeting their production date. Odd things happen, and the atomic reactor's trial run is continually being postponed. As the play opens, another attempt is being made to carry out the trial run. If this should fail, there can be only one explanation....
