The range is stricken with drought. Popular legend says that somewhere, close at hand, there is a lost river, but no one has ever found it - except three gunmen who keep it a closely guarded secret. Champion, however, senses the presence of the water and starts to nose it out, under the guns of the crooks. Ricky finds Champion with a bullet wound, and the hunt is on.
