Children of the New Forest: 3: Alone

Under the guidance of Jacob Armitage, his grandchildren settle into their new life as forest children-all but Edward the eldest who tongs to avenge the burning of Arnwood. After a brush with the Roundhead Intendant of the forest, Mr. Heatherstone, Edward saves the life of Patience Heatherstone his daughter. Jacob dies; and the children are left to fend for themselves.
