Dr. Grey Walter, physiologist at the Burden Neurological Institute, Bristol, shows Max Robertson some of the electro mechanical models he has made.
These scientific 'toys' possess the simplest form of thought mechanism; they are used to imitate the behaviour of living creatures and to suggest ideas about the working of the human brain.
