1/7. Stuart Maconie presents a fourth series recalling momentous moments in popular music. He begins with the 1994 suicide of singer and songwriter Kurt Cobain, whose Seattle-based "grunge"-era band, Nirvana, injected 1960s-style melodies with a new punk sensibility and developed cult and mainstream followings with the release of their 1991 album Nevermind. Discussing Cobain's sizeable legacy are former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, singer Joe Elliott (of Def Leppard) and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell.
