2/3. Pop-jazz stylist Jamie Cullum celebrates the influential works of jazz pianist, composer and electronic-music pioneer Herbie Hancock , who provides an exclusive interview. This story continues with Hancock leaving the Miles Davis quintet to pioneer a new jazz-funk sound, culiminating in the genre-defying crossover hit album Head Hunters (1973), inspired by both Buddhism and Sly and the Family Stone.
