3/6. Jazz vocalist Clare Teal celebrates some of the most distinctive female singers in her field. She continues with a tribute to perhaps the greatest of all 20th-century popular singers, Ella Fitzgerald , and the singer whom Fitzgerald cited as a great influence, Connee Boswell. The latter suffered from an accident early in life and sang in the sitting position throughout her career, which included fame in the 1920s as part of vocal harmony trio the Boswell Sisters, who influenced the Andrews Sisters and others.
