Summer ad-libbed for the recording and initially did not like the finished product, but she succumbed to its hypnotic, futuristic sound, as did successive stars of the electronic age, including the Human League. New Order, Pet Shop Boys, DJ Hell and many others. I Feel Love has charted in three decades.
