2/4. Mark Lamarr profiles Jamaican-born Lee "Scratch" Perry, the flamboyantly unconventional reggae and dub maverick whose works as a mixologist, songwriter and producer of such acts as Bob Marley and the Wailers and the Congos have established him as one of reggae's key figures.
The story hits the early 70s, when Perry's reputation reached its peak on the strength of rock-steady productions like Return of Django and Clint Eastwood. And Perry talks about his working relationship with Bob Marley, with whom he fell out. Plus input from Niney, Max Romeo. Mikey Zappow, Leroy Sibbles and Boris Gardiner.
