Punk and the 80s
This edition rewinds to
September 1976, when the club hosted the first ever punk "festival", spearheaded by the Damned, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Buzzcocks and club regulars the Sex Pistols.
Siouxsie Sioux, Paul Weller , the Vibrators, Jet Black, Glen Matlock and Charlie Harper all recall the electric days of early punk.
Also, African drummer Julian Bahula discusses the club's devotion to African jazz and township music, which
Chris McGregor introduced in the 80s.
