Composer Ron Goodwin is 70 later this year. As an early birthday celebration, he conducts the Symphony Orchestra of the Young Person's Concert Foundation in a special concert recorded before an invited audience.
The programme includes excerpts from some of his most famous film scores, including 633 Squadron, Where Eagles Dare and Battle of Britain, as well as some of his concert pieces. Presented by Bill Rennells. And at 8.20, in conversation with Bill Rennells, Ron Goodwin looks back on a long and fruitful creative life.
