The BBC Concert Orchestra is really waving the flag in Vienna this weekend. After two days at the Munich Light Music Festival, playing new compositions from six different European countries (including our own), they come to British Week in Vienna with two strongly British programmes
Tomorrow, Saturday, the orchestra under Marcus Dods will give a concert wholly of British works, and this evening the Viennese public are being introduced to that uniquely British institution, Friday Night is Music Night, with the help of three stalwart Friday Night singing stars, a military band. and the irrepressible Jimmy Kingsbury
