Joe Lovano Quartet
Jez Nelson presents a session by Joe Lovano , recorded in New York. Lovano has established himself as one of the foremost saxophonists and composers of his generation, with an approach to music that's forward-looking and innovative but also encompasses tradition. Veteran pianist James Weidman , double-bass player Esperanza Spalding and drummer Lewis Nash join him to play an arrangement of Streams of Expression, a suite featured on his recently released Grammy-Award nominated album of the same name.
