The French Challenge season continues with the 1993 Prix Italia winner, dramatised for radio by Bernard Da Costa. This
French-language production takes as its starting point a story by Richard Wagner. Anxious to meet his idol,
Wagner makes a "pilgrimage to Beethoven" in Vienna, only to be thwarted along the way by an amateur English composer.
