A new opera by Friedrich Cerha based on a bleak version of the Pied Piper story by CARL ZUCKMAYER
The rat-catcher liberates the city from an infestation but is used by the exploiters and the oppressed in their own struggles, and realises that his good works are motivated by his own lust for power.
