(Im Dickicht der Stiidte) by BERTOLT BRECHT translated by GERHARD NELLHAUS with and In the crushing chaos of Chicago a fight is begun, a breathless match played for the highest stakes.
Written between 1921 and 1923, the play illustrates Brecht's fascination with America, his Expressionist roots and his developing theories of Alienation.
