A play for radio by Guy Meredith based on the novel by Anthony Burgess
with Nigel Anthony as Bev

Nineteen Eighty-four may have got it all wrong, but 1985 - what will that be like? A general strike? A civil war? What hope for a schoolteacher like Bev Jones? He ignores the union's syllabus, and refuses to go on strike. He has only himself to blame for the bizarre consequences.
