Laurie Taylor points out that since The Radio Programme (Sunday 3.30pm, repeated Thursday 7.30) was first heard two years ago there's been an unprecedented surge of interest in the medium, what with the recent Radio Show and the newly revived Daily Mail Radio Awards. 'Now I don't think we'd want to take all the credit for it,' says modest presenter Laurie. 'But we've certainly done something to raise radio's profile and celebrate its richness.'
