The Tower of Constance by ELLEN DRYDEN with and Tourists now visit the Tower of Constance in the Carmargue, but in the 18th century, scores of French Protestant women were imprisoned there for their religious beliefs.
Catherine Bousset was born there. At the age of 16 she finds herself suddenly taken away from her mother and thrust into a world she never knew, disrupting both inside and outside the tower.
