The tablecloth was tapestry and the pattern was in gold, with a small amount of crimson and pale blue upon a greyish ground. At one point the pattern seemed displaced, and there was a vibrating movement. It was a large moth or butterfly, its wings spread in butterfly fashion.

Innocence and Design
The last of six talks about the influence of economic ideas on policy by David Henderson. Head of the Economics and Statistics Department in the Organisation for
Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
6: Markets, States and Economics 'Those who are influenced by orthodox economic ideas have no pre-assigned place on the political spectrum - left, right or centre. Contrary to what is often supposed, my fictional orthodox colleague Mr MacQuedy , who favours market-oriented economic policies, is not a man of the right. He holds no firm party political allegiance, and in most, if not all, OECD countries he would have to be classed as a floating voter.'
